Synopsis
Immediate, senior-level oversight and direction
The Role
As a Business Controller you will join the senior management team within English First, our fast-growing, highly international, local language schools business unit and serve as the Product President’s financial partner.
Together you will be responsible for the strategic direction of the division as well as taking on full day-to-day responsibility for all financial functions, including budgeting, pricing, profitability analysis and internal reporting.
You will affect change in a fast-growing, international business and directly influence its development and growth at the most advanced level.
This role is viewed as the predecessor to a CFO position and is appropriate only for those interested in the day-to-day management of a business rather than a traditional financial accounting position.
Requirements (All Candidates)
• Finance/Business Administration degree
• 4-6 years work experience in a controller or accounting function for a respected company
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong business acumen and commercial instincts
• International business experience preferably by living and working abroad
Requirements (Optional)
• Additional language skills
• Some years in ‘Big 4’
• Professional experience with a large company during a period of change and/or high growth
• Experience of working in Asia
Additional information
This position will require international travel to oversee our markets and liaise with senior management.
